Gift Ideas for Long Distance Relationships

Updated: May 12, 2020

Some great ways to show your significant other love from far away are well thought out gifts. Here's a few that I have tried, will try and want to try!

Edible Arrangements:

This company has been facilitating my cute spur of the moment surprises twice now. They're on the pricier side so maybe stick with the small box of chocolate covered strawberries if you want it to be a quick reminder of your love but you could go with the large decadent arrangements as well for special occasions.

Pizza Delivery:

Doesn't matter if it's Domino's, Pizza Hut or the local pizzeria. Pizza places specialize in getting food there quick and if your significant other has a nact for not eating when they're supposed to this might be a good resource to show you care. It's really easy to know exactly the right thing to order with pizza since there's only so many options. But if you're a little more in tune with your partners taste buds you could opt for somewhere else...

Delivery Apps:

Uber eats, GrubHub and others have revolutionized quick long distance love. You can have the favorite meal you two shared delivered as a reminder of times when you're close. You can even have convenience store essentials delivered with Postmates. I've also liked into using instacart to deliver some of the more niche items found in grocery stores. But if you have more planning time there's other ways.

Amazon:

My boyfriend has been the main gifter with this method. Amazon was built for long distance relationships with their gift option that allows you to have it wrapped and shipped with a little customizable note. It's the perfect way to surprise your loved one with something they might be mentioning wanting or even that you think would be nice for them to have.

Old Fashioned Letters:

There's nothing like sending off a love letter to make a physical representation of your love without just emojis and text messages that disappear into the depths of your phone. Letters take time and it means a lot to know that they are worth that time and postage to send something to real.
